Flipped Classroom on Vocabulary Teaching

 Hey everyone, welcome to my blog.  The term "flipped classroom" refers to an educational approach in which conventional teaching techniques are inverted or "flipped". In this method the students get prior knowledge about the topic in their regular classes. After that they engage with instructional content such as video lectures. Classroom time is used for interactive discussions and activities. With this method teachers can focus on students’ individual needs without taking too much of the classroom time. Flipped classrooms also make it possible for students to enhance their self-learning skills. In my opinion, this method is very beneficial for both the students and the teachers.  For this week, we were assigned to create a flipped teaching material for an EFL classroom. Corpus-based Teaching Material

 Hey everyone, welcome to my blog.  For this week, we were assigned to create a corpus-based material. I’ve partnered up with my friend Nursena Cakir for the assignment. Firstly we discussed which tool we can use to create the material and we decided to go with Canva. Using Canva as our tool was easy because we were already familiar with it from last year's classes. After picking our tool we talked about what we should focus on for our material and we decided to focus on grammar. After putting a lot of thought into it we picked the use of Be Going To/Will as our subject. For our target audience we picked high school students and the material that we prepared serves as a practice sheet for them. We picked a colorful and visually engaging template for our material. By using our material the students will be able to differentiate the use of “be going to” and “will”.
